Welcome

We extend a warm welcome to our visitors today. We are delighted to have you worship with us. Our prayer is that God would richly bless you through his Word and by his Spirit. We pray you will be encouraged by the worship, witness and fellowship of Faith Presbyterian Church. Please take a moment and sign our guest book. If you are interested in knowing more about salvation in Jesus Christ or the ministry of this church, Pastor Figura or any of our members are happy to talk with you.

Parents with young children: We encourage you to worship with your children, and teach them how to worship the Lord. We realize that at times it is difficult for them to sit quietly. Please do not think your children are an unwanted disruption, on the contrary, they were created to worship God alongside their parents. If necessary, feel free to take your child to either of the back rooms. You are welcome to re-enter the worship service as soon as you are ready.

Please join us after the morning worship service for a fellowship meal. We reassemble for the afternoon worship service at around 1:30 pm.

Announcements

Today we welcome Mr. Barry Horsley into membership at Faith Presbyterian Church. We rejoice in our brother’s good confession of the faith, and pray the Lord will richly bless him.

Wednesday night we continue our study of the Westminster Confession, Chapter 2 on the Nature of God and the Trinity. This week’s study will be an overview of the incommunicable attributes of God.

What Do We Believe?

We believe that everyone has sinned and is in need of new life through Jesus Christ. That new life is a gift from God, which is received by faith apart from anything that we can do to earn that grace.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired, infallible, and inerrant. We believe the Bible reveals the only true and living God; that Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, is the only Savior of mankind and the only head of His Church; and that the Holy Spirit must change our sinful hearts if we are to receive salvation as it is proclaimed in the Gospel.

The Bible is our only rule of faith and practice. Our church also uses the Westminster Confession of Faith and the accompanying Larger and Shorter Catechisms as a helpful summary which sets forth the system of doctrine taught in the Bible.

We emphasize to each individual the importance of living a holy life and carrying out the Great Commission, both here and abroad, through evangelism and the support of missions.
